Hi Inka my blood sugar was 12.5 on Monday 4pm then at 10pm it was 24.2 this lunchtime it was 10.5 after a no carb breakfastOk, if you only started insulin on Monday, it could well be that your Lantus dose will be gradually increased as people are started on less than they’ll probably need for safety reasons.
I suggest you eat what you were eating before to begin with, as the Lantus will have been prescribed bearing in mind your blood sugar then. You’ll also need to get hypo treatments in and keep them with you in case your blood sugar goes to low - ie Dextro glucose tablets, jelly babies, etc.
What were your blood sugars before you were prescribed the Lantus?
