Hi my 9 year old daughter has been tired hard to get up in mornings . So on Friday 14th my wife took her to doctors her reading was 18 he seemed concerned now we got a initial appointment at our local hospital stepping Hill for the 5th Dec that was on Friday she has been ok over weekend so this morning my wife phoned hospital Direct and now her appointment is the 5th Nov better but I'm very worried and scared any help info would be greatly appreciated thanks Ian lisa and my wonderful daughter Lilly​
 
Hello @George77 and welcome to the forum. I am sure you must be very worried after your initial visit to the GP and there are other parents here who will relate to your concerns.
Has she been displaying any other symptoms at all? Diabetes is tricky as many of the symptoms could easily be attributed to something else and someone may not show all of the symptoms.

If you are getting worried that she has more of the symptoms listed in the 4Ts, or these are getting worse, you should seek more immediate medical attention. The symptoms are increased thirst, going to the toilet, weight-loss and tiredness. If she displays these, you can call NHS 111 or go to A&E. I understand that in the meantime, this is very concerning for you all and the appointment is far off (possibly a positive sign?) Can you keep calling to try to find a more urgent appointment?
