Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Type 2, diagnosed a week ago, Trying to sort my diet out.....Obviously given up all sugar, cutting back on Carbs etc, but I feel as if I don't really know where I am going !!!! Am I having to many Carbs ? I want to lose weight as well as get my numbers down, Am I eating too much bread ? Toast for breakfast, sandwich for lunch, how many carbs should I be having, how many carbs in a slice of bread ??!!
So many questions! Sorry x

Hello Dawny.

As those in here will echo, there is no universal formula re carbs etc.

We are all different, and so is our requirement re carbs etc, all I would say I'd eat as healthy as you ca.
You will get there.

Depends on the kind of bread how many carbs are in a slice, if you look at the back of the packaging it should tell you per slice, as for what you should be eating only testing before a meal and 2 hours after will reveal what is suitable for you to get away with so to speak haha x

Welcome.
You have to find what works for you and can manage to maintain long term.

Hi Dawny,Welcome. Cutting down on the carbs will help you, till you find out what and what not suits you and your body.
Do you test your own BG (blood glucose) ? It really is the only way to know what suits you.

An awful lot if reading I know but take your time, you don't have to learn it all by yesterday ok.
And ask us all the questions you want to.
