I have been reading conflicting info about Sweet Potatoes and their effect on blood sugars compared to 'ordinary' potatoes. K does get quite a 'spike' if we have mash or baked potato. We have had sweet potato (prior to dx) but i always used it as a veg in a curry or casserole, never mashed or baked. (well Ive had it roasted - yum - but K hasnt).
Does anyone have experience of the effect on BS, please, and is it worth trying to persuade K to try some instead of, say, mash?
