Grogg1 I've been worrying about this for a couple of weeks but thought it was all in my mind. Hi Jeanette welcome I like you was supprized by a random test which was around your level a couple of months ago. Lots of good advice and support on here and everyone has been really helpfuleyes
Take yourself off to the optician to get your eyes checked out is my advice; it will give you peace of mind.Grogg1 I've been worrying about this for a couple of weeks but thought it was all in my mind.
....and Fannys your Aunt!!!Took my eyesight a good month to sort itself out.
It's because the actual shape of your eyes alter when your BG is hugely high because of the amount of water your body is throwing out to get rid of the excess glucose - hence your eyesight goes peculiar (I simply could NOT focus properly - couldn't read, couldn't watch TV, couldn't knit or sew - drove me almost nuts with boredom)
Once your BG has been at more 'normal' levels for a bit, your eyes re-hydrate (and blurriness is actually a symptom of dry eyes) and resume their proper shape, and Bob's your uncle.
I moved home therefore changed gp. During the healthcare check it was found. I was so shocked to say th e least, my previous gp never ever tested me for it even though I was experiencing hypos!!!!!! Thirst, very dry skin weight loss & skin rashes.
It's a good job I changed drs to find this out.
