Hi guys was put in remission in July but recently gone backwards and have had high levels for the last 24 hours bit stressed now

Hello @Dan 76. Welcome to the forum. It’s perfectly understandable that you are stressed.
How high are your levels going.
Do you have any signs of illness.

You can contact your team / nurse for advise or your out of hours Gp service 111 in England and Wales

Hello @Dan 76

Welome to the forum!

Sometimes diabetes does just change the rules on us and we have to change and adapt our management strategies.

Hope you get things back on an even keel soon.

Hi Dan,
Don't be stressed, stress itself makes your Blood Glucose levels rise.
If they are really high, then seek medical advice.
Otherwise just remember all of the following can cause high(er) readings:
Stress
Lack of Sleep
Infection
Injury
Different batch of testing strips
Medicines - especially, but not limited to, Statins

Try not to stress to much hopefully just a blip on the road that is diabetes. This is why I hate the term remission though it can give the impression that your diabetes has gone away, not necessarily to yourself but those who don’t live with it. It hasn’t it’s just very well maintained and diabetes can still throw in the occasional curve ball no matter how good you are.
