How do you go about finding a new phone that works with dexcom (in the under around £300 bracket). Am not that up on smartphones but all the ones listed on dexcom site seem outdated and you can only get them second hand.
I have a samsung a12 at the moment with libre 2. Its my first smartphone, ideally i'd want something similar so less faffing though perhaps a bit more powerful. I assume all androids work similarly? I'd want wifi (some don't seem to have this?) and a long battery life.
Or perhaps i should ask for a reciever, but then thats another bit hardware..mind you the way things are going with libre i'd rather play safe than be left without alarms! I take my phone with me all time but only really for my libre. Plus may stop me noodling away the evenings on my phone. I spend too much time on it. Anyone got g6 or dexcom one reciever? Do you get receiver on px as it were? What's the battery life like? Is it as good to use a smartphone? Any downsides? Also thinking it may be better in, say, a theatre. Not been to out much since diagnosis and I'm not confident my phone won't make noises. I want something I can rely on and trust to behave! Can alarms be muted on reciever? Is there a vibrate option?
Anyway, would appreciate your thoughts/ experience.
Haven't actually got dexcom yet, but live in hope! Hope to get on px, a ONE would prob be fine but i get the feeling they do g6. Oh and it would be nice to link to a watch.
