Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had been using any of the newer iPhones (specifically the newish SE) to scan their sensors with? I'm aware the Freestyle website only lists a specific few phones which they say definitely work, but I just wondered if people were finding some of the newer models worked okay too? I still want to have my reader for safety but it'd be so handy to be able to scan with my phone too.

Thanks

Do you have the phone currently? If so then the best way to check would be to try it out for yourself, probably not the answer you were looking for but could save a lot of time rather than waiting goodness knows how long on an answer xx

Interesting question. I'm thinking of getting an SE soon, well a new one is rumoured soon. I also wanted to know if I could just transfer the data across with the migration app, but can't find anyone who's tried it.

No I don’t - I’m looking to upgrade and just wondered if anyone had had any luck with the newer models so far... I know I could get one of the older iPhones that definitely work but I’d rather get a slightly newer phone if poss!

All iPhones above 7 (I think) have the NFT technology to work with the reader. I use an iPhone 12 Pro, and despite its show off technology, it still has the NFT. The SE certainly works, and more importantly is still supported by Apple and will be for a few years worth of security upgrades.

Good to know, thanks!

I have an iphone 7 and it works fine. Even with the new libre2 update 🙂

Just upgraded to iPhone mini 12. As the iPhones have the transfer from one phone to other function / capability what ever you call it all libre data went across. Haven’t lost any of it.

Thanks! Can you still scan with the 12 too? I’ve got a 6s at the mo so I’ve never been able to use mine with my sensors.

Yes anything above a 7 I think. I had an 8 and it worked on that.
I use scanner and phone so I have both BUT if you start on phone you can’t use with scanner. I start with scanner then on phone.
