They only been back a few months and now only phone support. no more easy blood tests or anything else that needs face to face contact.Anyone else getting this change been told they are short of staff.
 
I got my Retinal screening appointment through for 19th Jan which is about right for my annual check up. I had background retinopathy last year so I am hoping that will have stabilised this time, so relieved to get this appointment but half wondering if it will be cancelled/postpomed if this current wave of the pandemic continues to rise.
 
It’s been phone appointments only all year for my team
 
I just had my phone appointment with the consultant cancelled. It was supposed to be next Monday.
 
I heard a Community Social Worker who is part of a Mental Health team, saying her nursing colleagues have been called into hospitals to work.
 
So many off sick themselves or having to self isolate having been with someone who has tested positive, the NHS really is struggling, and throw the vaccination plans on top of all that - whatever can wait will just have to wait. I can't deny it's hard for all of us, simply everybody - but there isn't anything we can actually do to assist - except try not to criticise too much.
