hi all
ive had a virus for the past two weeks,still being taking my medication but my blood sugars keep spiking and rarely go below 8,does being ill have an effect on you

I'm sorry to hear this @brownie51 :( I hope you are feeling much better very soon, and then your levels should settle down. As @grovesy says, illness can really affect blood sugar levels for a number of reasons - increased insulin resistance, and also being probably less active being the most significant ones.
