hiya, mostly on top of my BS levels but have started to have the feeling of a really cold big toe on my left foot, like when you were a kid, snow down the wellies and back home in the warm then it starts to hurt, and also recently been having night cramps and stiff legs when waking up.
Should I be worried?

When I was diagnosed I developed chilblains in my toes for the first time since I was 4 years old - and in summer as well! 😱 I also got the night cramps during the first year as my levels settled down, so it may just be part and parcel of your body adapting to the 'new you'. However, if you are at all concerned about the toe, do please see the nurse or doctor to check that things like circulation and sensitivity are OK. When did you last have a foot check? Is your toe permanently cold, or does it warm up during the day? One good tip the nurse taught me was to press on the end of the toe and see how quickly the colour returns after you take the pressure off - if it happens quickly your circulation is good.

Yep Alan - they always do that to my toes these days especially at podiatry or when they can't find a pulse - which has always been a bit elusive anyway even before D and PAD LOL

Toenails ate still lovely and pink though and I still have proper feeling in my tootsies - I think I'd worry if they weren't!

I was told that hairy toes were a sign of a healthy circulation also...! 😱 😉 :D

Urgh! - I hate hairy toes. I swear one of husband No 1's ancestors must have been called Baggins.

Thanks, circulation looks okay, just one cold big left toe toe, I’m sure it’s been a good year since my foot check, will check with my doctor, always seem to need to remind them on everything!
