Does anybody else get really cold feet even with thick socks and shoes on.

Yes, I do @Type1Pat but I always have. I do find that thermal socks help (the thin ones not the great thick ones) and wearing slippers or indoor shoes. What also helps is thinking what my feet are resting on. One year I got awful chilblains but then realised I was on the computer a lot and resting my feet on the floor - which was laminate not carpet. Likewise, getting a mat/rug for the kitchen helped.

I too have always had cold feet. For me, this is related to Raynaud’s and has nothing to do with diabetes - as a young child, my Mum would complain about having to buy thick lined boots which I grew out of by the next winter.

Warm socks help as does making sure my feet don’t get too cold. Or, if they do, not warming them too fast.
Chilblains are caused by blood vessels bursting when they expand too fast as they are heated too quickly.
