Hi to you all
Could someone help with a small query? I had my Coeliac biopsy taken on 18th October. I am unsure how I actually get the results? How did you find out your result and how long was it after the biopsy? Not sure whether to phone my doctor or as I haven't heard anything, then its a negative result and its not Coeliac disease:confused: Thank you.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Best wishes.

So much depends on your local set up. If you still have a letter with phone number, could you phone where you had biopsy? Otherwise, best phone your GP who should now the local situation. Obviously, the results won't be ready until the laboratory have processed the cells taken in the biopsy - and timescales vary greatly, particularly for non-urgent examinations.

Hope you get an answer soon - and that it's properly explained to you. Waiting isn't pleasant.

I had samples taken in a biopsy to check for Coeliac disease recently. I think I left it 4 weeks before ringing for the results. I was told I would get a letter after 2 weeks but never did.

I was referred for the tests by my diabetes centre so I presumed the results would go back to them so I rang my diabetes centre and got the result over the phone. Mine was all clear thankfully.

Thanks clarkey, thats very helpful. I'm pleased your result was clear. My blood test showed the 2nd part of the test was high (positive) for Coeliac, so thats why I had to have a second endoscopy because they didn't do it the first time.
Thanks agian with best wishes
