I've just opened my latest batch of Accu-Chek Aviva test strips and have found that there are no coding chips included. The codes are the same as my current chip, so I assume they no longer need to provide a coding chip with each pot.

Has anybody else found this, or have I got a dodgy batch?

There was a recent thread about this. From what I can remember, you just leave the old one in. But do look up the thread for the details.

Yeah, its ok to leave the old one in as long as the numbers match

If you've got the black chip in with code 111 then you will be OK, no need to put another in again 🙂

I buy Accu-Chek and yes they have removed the chip; you just use the one you have...code remains the same xx🙂

I started the thread on this.

If you have a black chip, keep it in the machine.

Aviva did the black chips to replace the white ones & now they have stopped doing them as all kits should have a black one.

If you don't have a black chip, I've got 3 spare

Thanks all, I have a black chip, so you've put mind mind at ease now.
