Oh no! Although I like the Burgen and it does not spike my BS, I am not having it at the moment is it affects my IBS ! I have gone back to Thins which are quite bland in comparison, and toast very well!

Down to my last crust of frozen Burgen this morning, so had to go out on an expedition to Sainsburys for supplies - couldn't bear the potential disappointment of having to wade my way through a loaf of inferior quality, higher carb stuff from Tescos 😱

Has Sainsburys gone posh recently? £1.50 a loaf there! 😱 Only used to be £1.25 in the Co-op! Made up for my extra expense on the bread by getting a pot of Skyr at 75p off 🙂

Don'tcha just lurve a big spender?! :D Profligacy at it's worst I say ...<snigger>

I'm so glad Burgen is easily accessible in my area. Maybe l should start up a Burgen postage service.:D

I am sure that is the normal price in my Saintsbury's and I think the Coop is more expensive!

Are we talking small or large size here? Just panic bought two small Burgen in the local co-op, because they're often out of stock, at 95p apiece.

It appears that the large is only 2g per slice more than the small; is that right? The loaf looks much bigger- are the slices thinner?

These were large, as were the Co-op ones. I used to have to go to Sainsburys beofre, but then they introduced them to the local Co-op - my joy was unconfined when they then started offering them at 2 for £2! 😱 They then changed it to £1.25 each on what appeared to be permanent offer as it never changed from that until they pulled them from the shelves.
