Went out for the first time last night clubbing as my provisional arrived yesterday after four months wooooop!
anyway, i had two alcoholic drinks and a shot, then two glasses of diet coke 🙂 aren't i a good girl. Still had really bad affects on my levels though, kinda glad they went a bit high as i was dancing till 4am lol had a jab when i got back then went low but oh well, i'm not hungover which is the main thing!
I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 months yesterday aswell so i was a bit teary and still am, you know when you wonder whether you've done the right thing :/
but yes, also i had no money last night and my drinks got paid for by my mates so woohoo to that one!
hope everyone is okk!

Great news - both arrival of provision driving licence, so you can get started on lessons, tests etc, and on successful night clubbing 🙂

sounds like a good night, may there be many more like this........

sorry to hear about your break up.......:(

alcohol will drop your sugar levels because the normal glucose production from the liver is slowed way down as it tries to get rid of the booze.......

a reduction of background is usually needed as well as a snack before bed without insulin to keep you good overnight......

you will find out what best suits you as you get more experienced, I personally need to reduce my morning dose if background [split levemir] in order to avoid hypos the next day.....

happy experimenting.......😉

I wouldn't have bothered with a jab when you got home, was it QA insulin? Be cautious with alcohol and just correct it in the morning is my rule....and a snack if you need one before bed!

Glad you had a good night clubbing but sorry about your boyfriend - hope things are ok! x

Glad you enjoyed your clubbing, its always sensible (if boring) to not drink much alcohol, but the dancing will also lower your levels through exercise. Certainly if you felt the boyf wasn't right for you, then take a deep breath and move on. Look forwards!!

yeah i tested a few times while i was out, i was a bit high but i thought it was a good idea to keep them a bit high because of the dancing cause i know how exercise lowers my levels. probably shouldn't of injected when i got back, been paying for the clubbing all day though had two hypos one during work and going to work was the worst thing to do today wanted to kill someone lol! oh well all experience ay!
