Hi all

We went to clinic this afternoon. We got there at 13.45 for our 14.00 appointment. Carol had her blood for the test taken at around two. While waiting to see DSN and/or consultant, we have to fill in the form with the pump details, basals etc. So as we were doing that the nurse came out to stick the blood results on this form.
7.1% / 54 Yipeeeee :D

Unfortunately we had to wait until nearly 14.40 before we saw the DSN and consultant, which meant, we had to rush to the train station to catch the 15.14 train. I told Carol we?d never make it and we did indeed miss the train by about 3 minutes. We watched it leaving the station :(

Monica,
Hi thats brillaint news on Carols hbA, has that come down since the pump?
Sorry you had a nightmare with the trains, I think we should all get together and roughly add up how much time we have spent waiting for late appointments LOL.

Yes, it has come down, but only by 0.1%. It doesn't matter though. Carol's biggest problem wasn't "high" HbA1Cs, it was the hypos, always in the 2s. Now her hypos are mostly above 3.5.🙂

Brilliant news Monica! Congratulations to you both 🙂

Excellent, I'd be well pleased with that and great her hypos aren't as severe 🙂

That's great Monica, all being well I shall be able to congratulate her on Sat !

LOL 😉 - and you! I have this 'sneaky suspish' it should be t'other way about, but she's a kid!

LOL, yes I do a lot of the work, but she IS getting more independent and will give me her opinion if she doesn't agree. I like that, because it tells me she does take notice. And quite a few times I have changed my mind after she disagreed with me and gone with her opinion. 🙂

So, Yes, do congratulate Carol 🙂

Many congratulations to you both! Brilliant that you seem to be getting on so well with the pump 🙂

Congratulations to you both! Fab result :D
