I was wondering what low sugar (particularly non-alcoholic) drinks people go for over the holiday period? Most place offer dier coke (even if they do not serve it to you!) but I am no great fan of it and find many of the others unpleasant because of the over (artificial) sweetness. If I am drinking alcohol it is not real problem - more a question of ensuring you have a few extra carbs.

lime and soda water.....despite hating it I do like light cranberry juice and will have it xmas day to wash down burnt turkey 😉

Cranberry and soda for me!

I actually love sparkling water - that was my usual drink even before diabetes. Very refreshing!

Diet Irn Bru for me - what else? 😉

- when I can get it!

Does anyone know if diet red bull is still okay?

Probably ok to drink but it's been known to cause trouble with people's hearts because of the intense amounts of caffiene so I wouldn't recommend it. Plus it tastes even more disgusting without sugar.

noooo it tastes gorgeous ,,,and I just imagine there is vodka in it!

I was going to suggest a german non-alcoholic lager, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. I just remember that it tasted pretty good when I was off the alcohol at the start of the year.

I used to love vodka red bull.
As a student it had the added bonus that if you drank a lot, you got so drunk you were sick, which sobered you up, so you could start all over again!!
I don't drink anymore -think I had my full share as a student!
