One of my colleagues at work has been diagnosed with raise cholesterol, he hasn't been put on any statins yet but has been told to loose weight.

He has asked me if I knew of any little portable instant cholesterol meters like my BG meter that you can get.

I don't. But does anyone else?
 
I think there are home testing kits, but not meters. You may have to send a sample away to a lab, I remember someone asking about it a while back - I'll have a look and see if I can find the thread.
