Well, this afternoon I had a hankering for something sweet so thought I would throw together a chocolate mug cake....
Usual sort of mixture with ground almonds, a bit of coconut flour a bit of psyllium, baking powder and some ethythritol and cocoa. Mixed all the dry ingredients and then realized I was low on butter, so reached into the cupboard for some olive oil and gave it a good glug. Broke in an egg and beat it all together. Couple of minutes in the microwave and I thought it smelled a bit odd but assumed it was just the olive oil..... but no.... I had picked up stir fry oil and it is infused with garlic. Definitely not recommending this flavour combination although the sour cherries with the chocolate was a nice change from peanut butter with chocolate. I will be making sure I am better stocked up with butter next time!! 🙄

The only time I remember Rick Stein unable to hide his disgust on tasting was garlic icecream.

I would like to add that it isn't disgusting enough to throw out. My craving for something sweet was too acute, so I am persevering! Green faced tongue out vomiting emoji. It may be a while before I hanker after something sweet again though!

Some combination @rebrascora lol

Seriously though them infused oils are really nice, really like toasted sesame one, great in stir fry.
Actually I bought this one thinking it was toasted sesame oil because I love the flavour of that although the colour is too pale for sesame which is why I mistook it for olive oil today. I didn't even realise that the stir fry oil was infused with garlic because I always put garlic in my stir fry anyway, but blooming heck! the flavour of garlic comes through very strongly when you are not expecting it! Toasted sesame oil would probably have worked quite nicely with chocolate and peanut butter, which has been my previous "go to" mug cake combo.
