http://www.coca-cola.co.uk/about-us/coca-cola-recipes/diet-coke-chocolate-cake-recipe.html. I suppose it would probably work even better if one uses Pepsi Max. 🙂

(I've been doing an extended web search, and unfortunately the above recipe calls for "buttermilk"; I don't know what that is and don't recall ever seeing it for sale. All the other diet-soda recipes I've come across call for a packaged cake mix, and the problem with that is that William suffers from the silly superstition that there's "something wrong" with cake mixes; I've tried to point out to him that they're just the ingredients one would use anyway, but pre-mixed for one's convenience, but he won't listen. If anyone finds a recipe that's made from scratch and doesn't require exotic ingredients, kindly post the link tot his thread.)

You can buy buttermilk from most supermarkets Robert - it comes in a tub like cream. Tesco definitely sell it. If you go onto the tesco grocery website and type it in the search bit, it should give you a photo so you will know what you are looking for.

i always just use the buttermilk subsitute: one cup of milk to one tablespoon of lemon juice, has always worked well for me 🙂
