I"ve seen some old threads on this subject so I thought I'd add with my positive experience yesterday: Before having my most delicious lightly battered large cod I did some carb count research. Counts for same size ranges from 20 to 60 depending on where you look and how you describe it. After also doing a check on a frozen cook at home version I went for 3 units of Novorapid based on c30g of carbs. I reckon that was spot on for me. Yesterday, at that particular time, with how much I had exercised, how I was feeling, that particular chippy at that specific time. Cod only knows if eel ever get it right again but thought I'd share with any other soles who may interested . Chippy was in Fowey by the way. Can't remember the name unfortunately, as I was too eager to find a bench, inject and tuck in!

That's brill, it sounds like a lovely plaice!
Just realised - Brill! my marine biologist husband had to point that one out to me!

Oh Fowey - I was taken there to do marine ecology one summer back in the 1960s - am now awash with nostalgia.
We stayed at the little school and went down to the Ferry Inn each evening, then went to count things to see how the wreck of the Torry Canyon had altered the ecosystem along the coast.
