My usual:

Mini spring rolls (if delivered & usually have 2 x of these)
then
Chicken or prawn fried rice
&
curry sauce
or
chicken in black bean sauce
&
fried rice

My routine
1. Test
2. then eyeball the carbs, inject & eat.

Problem is that I usually eat the spring rolls then I like to have 1/2 of the main portion then just pick at the other half as I am starting to get full by now. Problem is I never really know whether to inject for all of the carbs eaten in the first half then what to do if I pick at the other half.

Just wondering what you would do regarding injecting.

Thank you in advance for any replies 🙂

Hi Gill,

If you were on a pump you would find eating food like this a lot easier.🙂

Why dont you inject half the amount of food and then have a second injection when you know how much you will be eating? Or if you inject but then dont feel like eating you could drink something like orange. Do you not inject at least ten minutes before eating? It takes at least 20 to 30 minutes for FA to start working so by injecting upon eating you are not giving the insulin a chance to work and will probably end up high as the insulin/food are mismatched.🙂Bev
