A play area banned mums from bringing in cartons of apple juice for their three sons who all have diabetes.

Play Factore, part of the Chill Factore, told Jane Fletcher, 37, she must leave the cartons outside if son Sam, seven, and his friends wanted to enter.

The three young pals, two of whom wear insulin pumps and who all have type one diabetes, must have sugary drinks to hand in case they go into hypoglycemia, a 'hypo' or blood sugar slump, while playing.

But despite explaining that the drinks were to treat the three boys? conditions, staff at the Trafford attraction said only drinks purchased there could be used.
