The highest risk for type 2 diabetes occurs in people who progress from a low body size in childhood to a high body size in adulthood, shows an analysis of data from the UK Biobank.

 
Interesting...I'm living proof that a scrawny, skinny lass can balloon into a weeble with type 2 in middle age!
 
Oh yeah. I saw a programme on childhood malnutrition in India and how it’s linked with Type 2 in adults a while back. Basically, there was a charity working hard to improve pregnant women’s diets which meant heavier babies which meant less incidence of T2 diabetes in adults. Really interesting.
