Like most mothers, Charlotte Godfrey couldn?t bear to think about her baby daughter being seriously ill.

But if she hadn?t taken the initiative to investigate 11-month-old Gracie?s constant thirst, the little girl could have died from type one diabetes.

Because Charlotte took that step, Gracie is now a happy 15-month-old baby, living with her mum and dad and older sister in Prestbury.

Charlotte, 41, said: ?The first symptoms were that she was constantly thirsty. She made a noise when she wanted a drink and she was doing it all the time.
