Hi all can someone please tell me if cheese spread is safe to have and does it spike the BG

I'd check the carb content of the spread to see what they are putting in it 🙂 Only your meter can tell you if it would cause you to spike though, although I wouldn't expect it to be bad as it's probably got a reasonably high fat content which slows the impact. Personally, I'm in favour of cheese alone - brie or camembert are 'spreadable' if ripe enough 🙂 One of my favourite current snacks is Double Gloucester with chives and onions - no impact at all on my levels! 🙂

Thank you been fancying cheese

I don't eat cheese spread as like my cheese strong and most spreads don't taste that strong! I do eat cheese frequently!

I have cream cheese & that's fine. Just make sure it's not the low fat version as this is higher in carbs.

There are 1.1g of carbs in one triangle of Vache qui Rit.

I'm quite fond of it as 'glue' to stick salad ingredients, or indeed a slice of ham, to either bread or Ryvita with! However I don't ever consider that I'm eating cheese when I have it LOL

I'm fond of whistling Brie or Camembert, Blue Stilton or Shropshire and proper Welsh Cheddar - ie the sort of cheddar that when you bite into it, all your saliva glands immediately respond. Dee-lish.

No point in eating it if it's bland! I should add that when I make cheese sauce, there's so much cheese in it in comparison to the slightly thinned roux, you can't stir it!

I lurrrve cheese, it is the food of the gods and I eat a lot of it - I am *so* glad it has so little effect on BG :D. Nobody else at home likes very strong cheese so I can stink the fridge out and have it all to myself, har! har! har!

Chomp away, @lesley from Chelmsford, you know you want to 😉

Cheese is good, I'm rather partial to Stilton......

Ee I were all 'ungry like!

I am partial to a portion of cheese.I recently purchased a tub of Cathederal City extra mature contains $,5% carbs all of which are sugars.\iwouldnt think this woula have any effect on blood sugar levels

More cheese Gromit! Ive been using the low fat soft cheese on my jackets.. much rather it was a big fat dollop of butter 😛😛😛😛
