So casually browsing in Morrison's and eye's spy Protein cheese. The packaging states 37% protein 3% fat 0% carbs.
Protein essential for me going gym, fat the lower the better and no carbs= no injections. This stuff sounds great.
£3 a block but hey it's only money.
Point of the post is to inform anyone who hasn't tried Protein cheese what to expect.
1. Appearance. Somewhat soap like.
2. Texture. Somewhere between rubber and rubbery.
3. Taste. Hard to say on account I couldn't taste anything.
If you do decide to give it a try I strongly suggest you also by a block of your normal cheese just in case.

Thanks Marsbar, out of interest how does that compare with mature cheddar? In nutritional terms, not taste, obviously!

Errrrrm I'll pass . Mind you even if it was delish I'd still have to pass as I'd be well , spending a lot of time in the throne room😱
£3 for rubbery tasteless soapy cheese 😡

If memory serves me right about 20% protein 35% fat and maybe 2/3% carbs.
Like a lot of things fat free or greatly reduced just isn't worth it, especially dairy I find, cottage cheese and yogurts being prime examples
