Hi
though It was time to take a look back in & see haw everyone is doing
A some may remember I have been a little poorly recently (Rectal Cancer), which has meant I have not been paying as much attention to 'D' lately (Not much point in worrying about ling term complications until I had secured a a long term).
I guess this makes me a full memeber of 2 clubs no-one wants to join.
The good new is my treatment is now complete & I am just on a regime of regular 6 monthly check-ups, not as much fun as the Diabetes foot tickle.
Now trying to get back into the swing of things with the low carb diet.

Nice to see you back.
Glad your treatment has been completed.

So am I 🙂 I can honestly say it was a pain in the arse - pun intended.
(I also tend to talk S**t even more than before 🙂 )

Hi @Alister - Nice to meet you (Im sure you will see some 'old faces' here) - and meet some new one too! Its good to have seasoned users back to help us newbies along this D road. I hope you are doing well now, I love your take on things, very refreshing. Reminded me of my favourite comedian Joan Rivers....no topic was taboo - good for her and good for you. I do hope you continue in the same vein & light up our days! 🙂

Simple philosophy, s**t has happened , I can't change it but that does not mean I have to let it get me down. Bottom line (did it again) is I am going to have to live with it, which is a far better out come than not living with it.
One positive, Just like with the diabetes, is I am getting extra attention from the NHS which puts me ahead of the game.

Good for you pal! As soon as I read the reply from @Tee G I noted he seemed to have mis-spelled the word 'faeces', and started to laugh. Keep on laughing, it's brilliant!

Well you have been dealt a bum deal, haven’t you? Glad your treatment is over and you can sit down ( I hope 😱) and relax a bit.🙂

definetly a bum deal, this happened the same year I was given diabetes (Although I think my diet change helped me spot the problem) so to slightly rephrase Queen Liz II in was my anus horibilus 🙂
2020 is going much better, sitting is a little uncomfortable but manageable.
Some silver linings - my critical illness cover cleared my mortgage (with spare) & my weight is now down to ideal (although this is NOT a recommended weight loss regime!)

awww bless - reminds me of when i had my babies, the first one, well, a big fat 8 pounder - felt more like an 18 pounder after the damage he did....dont go there!... But the ward had a rubber ring and we were all fighting each other for it o_O -maybe invest in a childs water ring - may offer some temporary relief?

I already have a memory foam coccyx cushion, but sometime find a hard wooden bench can be less uncomfortable
it seems to change daily.
3rd advantage, because I now have a permanent stoma & no bum hole I am saving a fortune on toilet paper 🙂

Good to see you back @Alister - and congrats on completing your cancer treatment. Long may it keep you in rude health 😛

Welcome back @Alister glad your treatment went well and your assitude is a great inspiration to us all. 🙂

ass-itude - like it!
