Good thanks - had a nice face-time call from my son and his two little ones (before they went to bed) - Just to say hello for Mothers Day. Other than that, have been playing my online games and generally slobbing - such a lovely bright sunny (but cool) day today - we got the ping pong table set up the other day, in the garage, so when it warms up a bit me and hub will go slog it out LOL How you doing?

Well, it was a beautiful, mostly sunny, day here today too. Nice to have one once in a while. It has been too drab and dreary for too long! 🙂

I’m OK thanks @Stevie beck

Not the easiest day for me, but have been focussing on happy memories.

Well we didn’t get to spend it how we planned, with social distancing I couldn’t see mum or my grandmas. However us 3 went for a 9 mile walk in the peaks (we live here) hubby took his little stove and we had bacon sandwiches half way. Then home and a naughty takeaway so we had a nice day. Not looking forward to another full week working from home with the child homeschooling too but needs must

It looks nice and peaceful there , and that others did not have the same idea.
The longendail trail was very busy, but even on a horrible day it is busy as it’s so nice to walk, run and cycle it but we just avoided people with the 2m rule

Feeling very accomplished, managed to get toilet rolls, bananas and a good shop but had to buy posh blue eggs. I didn't know they made blue eggs! £1.90 for six in Tesco. 🙂

I am working from home and have adapted better than I thought I would. Work is ticking over well and the charity I work for has impressed me on the ability to change things up within weeks to continue to help the people we serve. I am in awe and proud of the colleagues I have. Other than that, low carb lunch of 3 falafel, salad and chilli sauce wrapped in a lettuce leaf. Still struggling to taste but I think it's coming back in some respects. My coffee this afternoon did not taste of anything so I am not there yet.

Are they Duck eggs?

No they are free range Bluebell Araucana. I had to check the Tesco site. 🙂 They're now out of stock! I hope they're not blue inside!

I have never heard of them, don't think my other half would try them. I seem to think that Duck Eggs were blue, and remembered they need to be cooked longer than hens eggs.

I have hens that lay a variety of colours including blue, green, olive, very dark brown, white and some with a slightly pinky hue as well as the usual brown. It comes down to the breeding of the hens.... Without being too boring, there are 2 different egg shell colours, white and blue, then there are shell coatings which are usually various shades of brown. White eggs obviously have no brown coating, brown eggs are white shelled with carious shades of brown coating, blue eggs have no brown coating, but cross breed a blue egg layer with a brown egg layer and you start to get varying shades of green. Throw a good Black copper marans hen which lays a really dark chocolate coloured egg into the breeding mix and you start to get khaki/olive coloured eggs. I have a farmyard mutt running around at the moment that lays a grey coloured egg..... will see if I have a photo of some ...003.jpg

Wow! I managed to post a photo.... shame the colours don't come out very well.

Beautiful, I have an egg fetish. :D I could live on eggs. I panic if I don't have any in. I would luv to keep chickens.
