I just wanted to share an update with the community. There have been lots of positive advice and just knowing that many people are experiencing very similar issues, it is great to know there isn’t a one size fits all approach….that I don’t know about. It’s trial and error. Fall over and get back up again. We fight this disease day in day out, night after night. I wished I could honestly pin down what works for me and what doesn’t. However, after a week off work with cellulitis in my eye/ eye lid, I think the lack of cortisol stress has made a huge impact in my diabetes management. 1 day this week I achieved a 96% in target. I was so happy and it brought it home to me that it IS achievable! It IS possible. I think I do need to focus on a day at a time. Consider all contributing factors to what my current blood sugar is when I read it- what I’ve been up to the last hour or two, what I will eat in the next hour or two, and what activity I’m expecting to do in the next 3-4 hours. I just want to smooth the lines and slowly lower my HbA1C.
Let’s keep this positivity going and celebrate the good days, and humour the bad. Each day is a new chance for change!!!
