A couple are going their separate ways to swim in a relay across the Channel and cycle from Cirencester to Paris in a bid to raise hundreds of pounds for good causes.
Andy and Becky Pointer, of Gastons Road, are well known for their ambitious charity projects and this summer?s plans are no exception.
Mr Pointer has already raised more than ?1,500 with his pledge to swim in a relay across the Channel this week, when he and three team members will swim for 16 hours.
?Ever since I was a little boy I wanted to swim the Channel and the best way to start that is with a relay,? said the father-of-five.
