Evening all.

As I’m approaching my 1 year diabetes diagnosis anniversary I’m going to do something I’ve always wanted to do (but never had a charity close to me) which is a fundraising walk.

I don’t actually know who the main players are in the charity world for diabetes, & I’m mainly more specific to type 1 diabetes.

I would very much appreciate some suggestions/recommendations etc

Thanks for reading x

I believe there are two main charities in the UK.
The one that hosts this forum, Diabetes UK. This provides support and research for all types of diabetes.
JDRF focuses on Type 1 diabetes. In my experience, it specialises in the Juvenile side so more support for things like Type 1 management at school.
