I’ve just received a letter from the Retinal Screening Service advising me I’d failed to respond to the invitation letter they sent me to make an appointment. This followed the letter they’d sent me cancelling the appointment I’d made with them 4 weeks ago! 🙄

I’m overdue for retinal screening, but I had a home eye test from Specsavers last week. The optician had a good look round the retina, and everything looked normal (as it always is) so that’ll do me till normal service is resumed.

I'm supposed to have 4-monthly checks for my maculopathy, last one was in January 2020 and no indication of when they might resume Same goes for my glaucoma screening. In fact, the only contact I've had was a telephone appointment for my annual review back in June 2020, no blood tests done since October 2019.
