Had a DN appointment on Friday along with a Dr. appointment (booked before DN appointment by practice!)
HBA1C was 83 on diagnosis then 51 and 49 6 months ago. My last test showed it has gone up to 50 :( DN sounded a touch bit annoyed. Having joint issues I think because of the statins so she changed me from 20mg Atorvastatin to 5mg rosuvastin. Also have a dodgy stomach so she told me to go from 2000mg Metformin to 1000mg/day. Will have another hba1c in 3 months.
To be honest am starting to feel better. Am off to Paris tomorrow and all carbs that entail along with Christmas not long after. Will be interesting to see where my HbA1c will be!

Try not to eat too many carbs, not always easy I know, and the HbA1c might go down even more?
Theres plenty of other things to eat that are not carby..... hope you have a nice break in France. Cheers

To be honest your blood glucose sounds pretty stable. Not really much difference between 49 and 51. Your nurse would probably prefer it to be a bit lower, but you are only marginally over the diabetes threshold. Hopefully a few small tweaks to your diet post holiday and Christmas will improve your next hba1c results
