Evening all
I've just had my blood results back and were very good for diabetes control.just had my review with nurse and she has suggested coming off gliclazide.80 mg and going on foreign dapagliflozin 10 mg.doesnt make sense to me if there working why swap them? Has anyone got any views on this new tablet please.?
Thanks

I have to admit that I prefer gliclazide after being on two different ones previously. Gliclazide works great and has no apparent side effects at all, but obviously, we are not all the same and what works for one may not work for others. If you're happy with it why change it?

I agree but the nurse has already swapped my meds.looked into it and they seem more for heart and kidney problems.bit concerned about taking them to be honest.still got a week's supply of gliclazide left so may continue with them and ring Monday.thanks for your reply.

I was glad to come off Gliclazide as it caused me to have lots of hypos, even on the slow release version. I have not taken Dapaglifozin.
