Went to see my GP today, it wasn't my usual GP but i have seen this one before. I've had a pain on my right upper arm for over 2 years now and had a steroid injection in it which helped but now the pain has returned, the way i can describe it is like doing a chinese burn on it - sore like. Anyway, i walked away with a different statin - Atorvastatin. He thinks it could be due to my Simvastatin that i've been taking so am going to give them a go and have to go back in 6 weeks time to see if it has improved the pain. He told me that all doctors put their patients on Simvastatin to start off with because it's cheaper - Atorvastatin is much more expensive but then told me that all doctors that take statins themselves, take Atorvastatin. Will give them a go and see how i get on.

Carina good luck on the new meds let us know how you get on with them
