Hiya,

I am currently on a Animas Vibe insulin pump (and been on it for the last 3 years) and as some of you are aware animas have stopped producing pumps in the UK now. I have been advised to change my pump provider within the next couple of weeks and I am posting this to ask you guys for your advice on the best pump available in the UK. I am 20 years old and in university and I still have confidence issues with my diabetes so I am looking for a small slim model of pump. I would love if you guys could help me out and provide me with some pros and cons of different pumps.

Thank you,

Tilly 🙂

Hello and welcome Tilly,
Your best bet is to ask your DSN which pumps are available to you, then have a good look at them yourself.
For my sins I'm changing over to the Medtronic pump due to it's CGM capabilities 🙂

I'm tagging @Northerner to ask that your post can also be put in the pump forum as it might get more views and answers there 🙂

Thank you, I am seeing my nurse tomorrow so I am going to ask which pumps they find. I’ll check out the Medtronic options. Yes that would be great, thank you!

Hello and welcome 🙂
I chose the accu check insight, it's smaller and less clunky than the medtronic.

You can find information on the various pumps that are available in the UK on the INPUT website www.inputdiabetes.org.uk

Then as Sue says, you need to find out what options are available in your area.
