Hi All,

I've posted before about how I was using the Dexcom G6 CGM and I thought it was really good. I've since tried the Freestyle Libre one but I wasn't really happy with having to scan the device to get the results each time.

I'm a software developer and I was planning on doing a demo capturing my sleep data from my Oura ring and comparing it with blood sugar levels from the Dexcom API as well as a few other things.

Turns out that Dexcom only allow access to their API to US based users which was a bit of a blow.

I've since had a google to try and find another manufacturer of CGM's without much success, I was wondering if anyone else has used anything other than the 2 that I've mentioned here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks....

John

Libre has an API which is used by developers of xDrip and the like.
If you have Libre 2, you had hi-jack the Bluetooth signal so you don't have to keep scanning.

I assume xDrip has an API (it's written by developers) which you may be able to use for merging with your sleep data.
xDrip is on github.

They have an integration with DexCom as well but I have no experience of that.
Maybe they share their code - I don't know - but it could be worthwhile checking as you could use their DexCom integration maybe.

I use the Medtronic sensors Gaurdian 3, which I have linked to my pump. The readings from the sensor are Bluetoothed to my phone without me swiping, and gives alarms at levels that I am able to set myself. I was a Libre 1 user before which I found fairly consistent but not always matching BG closely. I just learnt if they were reading a bit above or below, which I guess depended on the insertion.
