My last checks in January 2020 the Libre prediction was bang in with my lab results

My lab results have always been alot higher than predication.

Wow, a mixed bag! I think assuming something around the +5mmol is probably sensible!

Have ordered another 3 months of sensors, have a HbA1C test in 2 weeks but will have to ignore that and try again in 3 months to get a true comparison

My original Libre usually calculates my levels to be a few (3-5) mmols lower than my actual HbA1c and I think most other people find that and it is to be expected as my Libre consistently reads about a mmol lower than my BG reading a lot of the time. The algorithm on the Libre 2 is slightly different I believe so it's HbA1c prediction may be more accurate. When you compare finger prick readings with Libre when levels are stable are you seeing similar results?
I just checked - my libre is reading 5.6mmol, finger prick test was 5.4mmol - on the basis libre lags by 15-30mins, i’d say its too close to call.

That’s not a real difference, nothing to do with the lag if it’s a steady reading. You could get that same difference using a different finger, or a different glucose meter.

With the Libre 2 I find the predicted A1c is pretty accurate, as do my diabetes team who monitor my LibreView.

My libre predicted A1c is 50, I think my last blood one was somewhere between 50-55, and my levels improve when I use the libre so it’s probably about right.

So libre sensor arrived and successfully stuck on arm and connected to phone.

Have a question though - anyone know how to link the libre app data to apple health app so I can pull the data over?
If your interested, I got a email from Abbott and they said you can’t pull the data from libre apple health app which I already figured out but they have passed the comment / question over to their continuous improvement folks to see if they can implement that.

Be good to have the BG data fed straight into the app that holds everything else!
