Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi folks I'm new to this site and needing advice. I was on Logynon from age of 15 -40 they have taken me of that and put me on Cerazette I feel horrendous sugar levels going up (around 10-12 mark) - Im type 2 diabetic by the way since 2006. Doc has suggest getting the Implant as I need some kind of contraception and never had kids so don't want the coil. Is the implant ok with Glipizide and Glucophase SR? Hoping someone may know the answer.......thank you😛

Welcome to the forum, Jancam1.

Who are the "they" who changed your contraception? Who is "Doc"? GP? Family Planning Clinic doctor? Presumably the doctor knows about your medication and type 2 diabetes? If so, they should have already checked for any interactions.

There are many types of implant, so it's difficult for you or anyone else to search without knowing the name. Assuming you're in the UK, then it's worth signing up (free) to www.bnf.org (British National Formulary) which has detailed information, intended for prescribing doctors & nurses and pharmacists, about all medications commonly used in UK.
