Investors have been worried that food companies will lose sales due to the hunger-suppressing drugs

No, this isn't joke, it's real news article published by the Independent, will try to find the adverts for "semaglutide-friendly fast food", what next, small binbags to dress size zero models taking semaglutides they don't need, which can double-up as sick bags, so gross, but very American, sell us big problem, and hawk us the simple solution too, we'll believe anything with Celebrity Endorsement product placement, yuck! 😳

So, sickbags at the ready *vomit* 😛

"Nestlé is introducing Vital Pursuit, a new line of foods intended to be a companion for GLP-1 weight loss medication users and consumers focused on weight management in the US. The products are high in protein, a good source of fiber, contain essential nutrients, and they are portion-aligned to a weight loss medication user's appetite. The new line is also well-suited to support a balanced diet for anyone on a weight management journey. Vital Pursuit is the first food brand from Nestlé intended for GLP-1 users with the goal of complementing the eating habits of millions of Americans who are currently prescribed a weight loss medication or actively working to manage their weight."

Nestle continues to sell huge volumes of highly calorific ultra processed foods full of highly refined carbs sugars and non-food additives in supermarkets all over the globe and is no stranger to controversies over the years, ahem...

Yes, Nestle were very controversial some years ago with their pushing of formula milk to less developed countries. Reminds me of the cigarette manufacturers. Always on the look-out for a new
victim market.

You know your multinational corporation has problems when there's dedicated Wikipedia page to your controversies over several decades and it's classed as "long read" phew!
The corporate spiel of salivating over "new markets", you are target market gaining weight eating Nestle junkfood, and another target market losing weight eating Nestle "semaglutide diet" ready meals, so it's win-win for Nestle investors either way! 🙄

The worst of it is that we will likely have some new members joining the forum and asking about these meals and where they can buy them. Everyone wants a silver bullet. Eat more processed food to solve the problems the processed food has probably caused. No doubt this range will be much more highly priced though as it doesn't contain so many cheap carbs. Dread to think what it does contain and how much is real food and how much is chemicals.

SlimFast - The natural way to lose weight! Give us a week and we'll take off the weight!
(May contain farm slurry, unknown fibres, artificial sweeteners, and lies...)

If it's too good to be true, it usually is, what will future generations say about "semaglutide lifestyles and dietary preferences"?!

@Inka this article written by an American journalist in Oakland California as part of series about ultra-processed foods reminded me of your comment linking fast food companies with tobacco companies with the phrase "hyperpalatable" which sounds like pest control technician describing the latest poison bait to attract mice and kill rats more effectively...

I'm far from perfect, my "semaglutide diet" is currently drinking water, fresh fruit, handful of mixed nuts, small yoghurt and "healthy meal" of quorn fillets in burger bun with pickles and cottage cheese, and can't eat any more than that due to nausea dehydration and stomach convulsions, which must be an alien embryo in my digestive system, she's Queen, and she'll breed...😉
