We tried celeriac rice from Waitrose last night. It was delicious and well worth trying. Not sure if you will easily make it yourself as it’s small dice, not grated and the texture was just right. If like me you’re a supertaster so can’t stand cauliflower give it a try. I’m so happy I can now eat risottos, curries etc

What is the carb content @Sally W please?
Searched the net but cannot find any reference to carbs but many comments favourable about the rice itself.

Thanks you Madam Masteress:D

Thanks saved me getting out of bed to find the packet in the bin!
No problem! 🙂, you still not feeling any better? xx

No. It’s lasting ages...I’m hoping to go Thursday if better though to ask your questions. Thanks for asking x

Don't you worry about that, I'm not concerned about that, I'm more concerned about you! I really hope you start to feel better soon (((hugs))) xx

I love cauliflower but it's a faff to grate - I'll have a look when we go shopping on Thursday. Thanks, Sally 🙂

I'm lazy & buy it already grated.

I was looking at it this mornig in Aldi I didn't know you could buy it already grated. I didn't buy any because I didn't want to hassle of grating it

Awh that’s so nice of you! I won’t forget & will find out when next see my contact. There seems to be so much of this flu about. Thanks! x

It flies everywhere doesn't it? I just chop it up really tiny. Sometimes pad out rice with it too. I'm not the biggest rice fan, but will sometimes have half amount of rice and mix cauliflower in, I think it's more filling than rice on its own.

So I looked for this in Waitrose this morning...at least, I thought I was, but I was obviously having a Senior Moment and searched for cauliflower rice not celeriac - which I found o_O ....and I didn't buy it in the end cos a) I was looking for the wrong thing (d'uh!) and b) there were two servings in each microwaveable pack, so I wondered about splitting the servings.

Reading through this thread just now I realised what I had done...😳

Ah well next time...btw we didn’t microwave. There is a recipe on back to fry onion, add celeriac and water and add crepe fraiche after cooking. I’m not sure it would taste as nice by just microwaving but I guess the onion and butter helped to flavour it better. In case you go back to try it again.
