i.e which medical conditions bring what level of increased risk of serious COVID-19 health probs.

It's quite detailed, including details of the evidence they use for each assessment.

They've added being "overweight' as against "obese" as maybe bringing increased risk.

T2D continues to be listed as being a strong risk factor. You can dig down into the evidence they present to see what extent BG/HbA1c levels condition that risk assessment. Overall I think they would say keeping BG under control shouls certainly be helpful but the situation isn't crystal clear.

Actions to take:

  • Continue taking your diabetes pills and insulin as usual.
  • Test your blood sugar and keep track of the results, as directed by your healthcare provider.
  • Make sure that you have at least a 30-day supply of your diabetes medicines, including insulin.
  • Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions if you are feeling ill as well as the sick day tips for people with diabetes.
  • Call your healthcare provider if you have concerns about your condition or feel sick.
  • If you don’t have a healthcare provider, contact your nearest community health centerexternal icon or health department.
That second point leaves the desirability of self-testing up to yr HCP. Of course, in the US self-testing is part of the usual standard ....

They see the situation with T1D and gestational diabetes as being less clear: " ... may increase your risk of severe illness from COVID-19".

The trick is not to get get the virus, not worry about what happens when you do get it it.

I am trying not to get Covid but also conscious of the impact on my mental health if I lock myself away and obsess about sterilising everything that comes through the door.
So I am also taking care of the things that could result in severe Covid such as my weight and diabetes management if I do get it. I wouldn't say I "worry about what happens when" I get it but I am not ignoring it.
I can't do anything about my actual age but regular exercise helps keep my body healthier than the average for my years.
Thankfully, my gender and ethnicity also reduce my risk but I couldn't do much about them if they didn't.
