A CATHKIN mum has appealed for help in getting her daughter an insulin pump that will change her life.
Fiona Clark (13) was diagnosed as diabetic two years ago and since then the teenager has struggled to control her blood sugar levels, while having to have at least five injections a day.
Her mum Elaine believes Fiona would be much better suited to an insulin pump instead of the injections.
The pump would see her have a small device attached to her, which would inject insulin constantly, instead of the current batch of injections, which the teenager finds painful.

Fiona is also allergic to a type of insulin used, but has to continue taking it because the alternatives available wouldn?t help her control her blood sugars as much.

How dumb is that?
Doesn't sound as if she has any control anyway due to lack of education.
Big fail goes to her medical team on this one.

Not sure where her mother gets her prices from but she talking about ?2,500 at least for a pump plus the supplies each month. Not ?1,000
