Does anyone know what the current policy is about carrying insulin and pen needles on flights to Canada? Do I need a Drs note or some such?

i have travelled to the usa for the last 2 years on two different airlines and have never had a problem. I do believe that the airline advise you carry a letter from your doctor but in the past i have been charged for this and then never needed it so havent bothered since.
it was about 10 years ago when i did take the letter with me and i think since then everyone has become a lot more aware of the condition.

If you do get a letter, then ask for it it be generic, so you can use it on future flights. GPs usually charge, but hospital consultants / DSNs usually don't.
