Hi all
Just a thought, I have never included carrots in my carb counts, but I recently realised as veg go they are fairly carby. (as veg go)

Do you all include them? Anyone know the average carb count for 1 carrot?

Thanks

About 5g CHO per 100g of carrot.

A carrot weighing 100g is large, I reckon, with what I'd call an average carrot weighing about 70g.

If you're concerned, then you'll have to weigh your carrot(s). Personally, I don't bother.

CHO of carrots (Waxtrxxx) Organic are 8 per 100g. My typical serving is 45g so I count that as 4g CHO .. so pretty low and probably not worth worrying about. The only veg that I count are Corn on the cob (100g is 20g CHO) and parsnips (13g per 60g serving).
