Just got home from appointment with the cardiac surgeon and he has given me all the info regards my surgery. I will be having a pig valve😱 inserted into my aortic artery as he recons this is probably the best option for me. If I had a mechanical valve it would mean being on warfarin for the rest of my life with the risks involved with that considering my age(69) They will also do the bypass that is needed with a vein from my ankle. I should hear from them in about 3 months unless my condition gets any worse. So now it is just a case of waiting🙄

Good to know exactly where you stand Mal - I hope that there are no delays and everything goes smoothly 🙂 How's the mouth doing these days?

Hope your appointment come through soon Mal. At least you know exactly what they are planning on doing Mal.

Thanks Alan. I now need to get back to see the dentist to get my dentures re adjusted because at the moment they fit so badley that I am unable to use them. I haven't been to see her before as with all the other problems I haven't had the energy to get to see her:(

Hope you can get an appointment quickly and get them sorted, you'll feel better when you don't have that to bother about and can eat properly again 🙂

Hope you get an appointment through quicker than expected.

Hi Maltern
Good to see that things are moving forward for you - waiting for surgery is a specifically anxious time and I trust your surgery date will be sooner rather than later - but as Northie says at least you know where you stand. ill fitting dentures are not good for our digestion and to be without them even worse - so hoping your dentist can correct yours so you can munch your way through those beef steaks & roast dinners to build up your strength in readiness for your operation.Take care x
