I started my cardiac rehab last tuesday and have just about recovered from that ready to start again tomorrow. Definately not used to working out in a gym for an hour solid 😱 followed by a 1 hour lecture:(
As all you regulars know I have recently had heart valve replacement surgery the result has been that I now feel fitter than I had for about 5 years 🙂 I am now a lot more active and as a result I have lost nearly 10Kg in weight and my insulin needs have virtually halved🙂
Just got to suffer the next 7 weeks of rehab🙄

Great 🙂 and ugh :(

Great to hear you are recovering well Mal 🙂 I hope that by week 7 you are looking forward to your hour in the gym! 🙂

Glad it's going well (?!) Mal 🙂

Well done on your recovery. 🙂

Great news that you're making good progress with your post op recovery malturn - understanding that you're feeling pretty pleased too with your weight loss of 10kg & the reduction of insulin ~ well done on that count. Hope time passes quickly for you during the next 7wks, take care x

It's great to hear how much your health has improved, Mal. I'm really happy for you.🙂

Thanks every one. I went to my second session on Tuesday and found it much easier than last week so hopefully the rest will go just as well🙂 I must admit that my recovery has surprised me a lot knowing how bad i felt before i went in I didn't expect such a spectacular recovery as it has been. Before I had the opp I couldn't even walk to the bottom of the road where I live ( about 50 yards) now after 12 weeks I am regularly walking about 2-3 miles every day. After my 1 hour in the gym and a 1 hour talk on Tuesday I walked home from the hospital ( about 1 1/2 miles ) So I am well chuffed with the way things are going.

Wow malturn you're doing exceedingly well ~ well done ~ you're walking more miles than myself ~ I'll have to listen to my fitbit more and up my game! Keep up the good work and take care x

That's brilliant news! 🙂

Brill, Mal ! I sincerely hope your recovery continues at the same pace.
