Hi all
Went for my cardiac rehab assesment yesterday. The nurses and physios were very pleased with my progress so far. So now I start 8 weeks of rehab starting on 12 th September this involves 1 hour of gym work😱 and 1 hour of talks about all things cardiac related. ie: food , exersise etc. this will include talkes by cardiologists , physios and members of the local cardiac support group. I did a similar course 5 years ago after having a stent fitted after a mild heart attack and it certainly helped get me to some sort of fitness🙂

Great news, Mal, every time you post it seems you are getting better each time. Keep it up, and well done 🙂

Good luck with it all Mal🙂

Good to see you're so well, I'm sure it will be a breeze for you 😎

Hope this course as a good as your last one, Malturn. It won't be mega tough gym work - more about being able to exercise under watch of physios etc, so that you regain confidence and fitness, if you have lost either or both.

Hope it goes well Malturn. I did mine starting January or February last year. Had the talks, though not from a cardiologists. Some where from the physio (who looked like a bigger Penny from Big Bang Theory) and the Cardiac Reabilitation Nurse who where taking the Rehab sessions.

Thanks everyone .I certainly hope that it gets me back to fitness although I am now walking 2-3 miles a day, compared with the 9 months before the op when I could barely walk 50 yards. Since january of this year I have gone down from about 79 Kg to 70 Kg now. although in the last 3 days my appetite has sudenly woken up and I am eating anything and everything that my wife puts in front of me🙂 much to her delight . I did a similar course 4 1/2 years ago after my heart attack and stent fitting and it seemed to work then so fingers crossed for this time.

Really pleased to hear you're doing so well, Malturn. 😛I bet you're glad...sounds like the worst is over.🙂 What's on the menu tonight?

You're doing really well.
